For the Blue Ridge Parkway

Should you go today or tomorrow, and where?

Ridgeline puts the Parkway's closures, the weather at each spot and the season together, and gives every overlook, trailhead and waterfall a plain answer.

A plain answer for every spot

Each of more than 370 overlooks, trailheads and waterfalls gets a verdict from the latest road status, always with words, never color alone.

Go Go with caution Reroute No-go

Closures by milepost

The Parkway's road status, read from the National Park Service and laid out along the road from milepost 0 to 469, with the side roads to each spot. A closed road always wins.

Weather at the spot

Today and tomorrow, morning to evening, from the National Weather Service forecast for that spot, not the nearest town in the valley.

Works without signal

Save the spots you are heading to and their conditions stay on your phone, with how old they are, for the stretches of the Parkway with no coverage.

Where the information comes from

Road status from the National Park Service, forecasts and alerts from the National Weather Service, and stream flow from the U.S. Geological Survey. Ridgeline checks them through the day and shows when each was last updated, and says so when something is out of date.

Ridgeline is an independent app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Park Service or any other agency. Before you go, check nps.gov/blri for the official road status.
